Iconology in Digital Art -
communicating through images

Image: icons

I completed the MA in Digital Art on 18.7.2006. I want to say a big thank you to everyone who supplied content, did video interviews, helped with research, took the online test and generally helped out with my MA over the last year.

The definition for an icon ranges from a picture, a sculpture, or even a building, when regarded as an object of veneration. An icon can also be a person who is the object of great attention and devotion - also known as an idol. In computing terms an icon is a picture on a monitor's screen that represents a specific task or represents a software program.
